Seasonal Daylighting, all things Snuggly

As the first chill of the year hit our neighborhood, I have been reminded how much we enjoy sun and all things snuggly warm. We have watched as our dogs find a spot under a window to curl up within the sun’s warmth. My wife has begun adjusting the shades on our windows to warm our rooms and home. It is that wonderful time of the year when we enjoy our environment without the harsh default mode of our numbing and yet convenient HVAC unit. It is times like this that I am energized about homes that use daylighting principles. I have also seen an increase in use of sweatshirts, hot cocoa, baking bread, and towel warmers. It is a wonderful season. Is there a national daylighting month, some sort of campaign to promote the wonderful light and warmth we appreciate more seasonally?
